Student union raises alarm
If you have any complaints about DUO, register them online
The Dutch Student Union (LSVb) has set up a online complaints system for DUO. The LSVb hopes to gain insight into the nature and extent of the complaints about the organisation.
The LSVb mainly gets complaints about the long phone wait times. It also turns out that students who want to know things about their loans are often misinformed. The student union wants to put a stop to this.
‘DUO is an important organisation for students. DUO provides them with the money they live on and DUO manages their debt. If something goes awry there, the students get in trouble’, says LSVb chair Alex Tess Rutten.
By setting up the complaint system, the student union hopes to gain more insight into the inner workings of DUO and the actual scope of the problems.
